    1.      Furnace parameters:

    1.1. Furnace body dimensions:

    • Length – 11.0 m

    • Width – 3.2 m

    • Height – 2.2 m

    1.2. Maximum load weight – 25 t,

    1.3. Maximum temperature in furnace - 800°С,

    1.4. Type of gas burner units – high speed two-wire burners,

    1.5. Maximum temperature deviation at holding stages – ±5°С.

     

    2. Scope of works, executed by SPA “Saint-Petersburg Electro Technical Company”:

    2.1. Development of design documentation,

    2.2. Expert review of design documentation,

    2.3. Construction and installation works,

    2.4. Commissioning works,

    2.5. Facility handover to Rostechnadzor bodies and commissioning.

    Applied solutions:

    High temperature precision and load heating evenness is a main requirement for modern industrial furnaces. To ensure temperature precision, the furnaces of SPA “Saint-Petersburg Electro Technical Company” have pulse operation mode of furnace heating system on the basis of high speed two-wire burners with high speed of combustion products discharge into furnace inner body (up to 160 m/s), that ensures intensive mixing of gases inside furnace body. Burners are activated/deactivated by controller, depending on set furnace mode. Heat load in pulse mode is adjusted by changing of burners operation time.

    The purpose of automation is to ensure high quality of heat treatment, simplicity and reliability of furnace operation. We create three-level automated control system of heat mode, based on SIEMENS industrial controllers.

    Such system ensures: automated furnace control, including:

    • Furnace preparation for startup modes,

    • Control of gas burners ignition and flame presence monitoring,

    • Automated directing of metal heating and cooling modes in accordance with set program,

    • Data storage in SCADA system (WinCC-server, WinCC-client),

    • Provision of furnace operation information in the form, convenient for operator,

    • Generation of furnace operation reports,

    management of electronic documentation for heat-treated products.
