The purpose of implementation of CHS dosage and chain system was automatic dosage of charge components according to a given recipe. Dosage algorithm considers deviations from recipe tasks for each component of the charge. When one of the components settles, a share of the other charge components reduces percentage-wise. This algorithm is performed continuously and permits to determine the most problematic component. After restoration of supply of this problematic component, general charge sequencing reaches maximum capacity. For the process of charge dosage in a furnace a correct maintenance of charge components per cent composition is primary, rather than general capacity of charge sequencing to the furnace.
The second task of the system is automatic switching on/off of continuous handling system of conveyors from dosing compartment to melting case, and also collection and analysis of data permitting to determine exactly to what furnace hopper and in what furnace the loading is performed. The main difficulty of this analysis is a transportation delay of material supply and a great variability of conveyor chains assembly.

Besides that, change of dosage meters permitted to transfer one of them to reserves; before implementation of the system, failure of any of 32 dosage meters resulted in shutdown of dosage compartment.
Analysis of data permitting to determine exactly to what furnace each supply is made, enabled an operative identification of low-productive furnaces and performance of works on their productivity gain.
