  • SPBEC SUPPORTS TALENTED STUDENTS OF ACADEMY OF DANCE BORIS EYFMAN

    Published: 19 Mar 2018

On the eve of the Bolshoi Theater, the Festival of Russian Ballet Schools dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous French and Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, theatrical figure and teacher Marius Petipa was completed. This is one of the most significant dates in the history of world ballet.

The organizer of the event is the Moscow State Academy of Choreography. The festival attracted 240 young artists from nine leading ballet schools in different regions of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, Yakutia. The concert took place on the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. To perform on such a stage is the cherished dream of all young dancers. Such honor fell to the students of the 4th and 5th grades of the St. Petersburg Academy of Dance Boris Eifman. One of the most unique educational institutions, bringing up talented ballet dancers. This trip to Moscow and the performance on the Bolshoi stage took place thanks to the support of SPBEC. Young pupils of the Academy enchantingly opened the second section of the Festival Gala-Concert with a fragment from the ballet "Red Giselle".
Support for the Academy is only the beginning of cooperation between SPBEC and the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theater, Boris Eifman, which is a pearl not only of St. Petersburg and Russia, but of the entire world cultural space. It is especially symbolic that the year 2018 in Russia is declared the Year of the Ballet.
